Dalton is located in the majestic north Georgia mountains and is a part of "the new south". It is a mixture of small-town charm with suburban conveniences and the availability of large city culture. Chattanooga, Tennessee, which has a population of 300,000, is just 25 minutes away and Atlanta is only 75 miles south. The area is rich in history, and has an abundance of outdoor activities.

Dalton has a strong economic base that is supported by the local carpet industry. The majority of the nations carpet is produced in our area.

Hospital

Hamilton Medical Center, provides care that extends beyond Whitfield County into neighboring counties such as Murray and Gordon. About 125,000 people depend on the Dalton medical community for their healthcare needs. The hospital actively tries to provide the best care and bring top practitioners to our community.
